Brother & Sister

Adz's Book Reviews: Donna Tartt's Little Friend

I got this book from my mom which she doesn't even read, hahaha! Takes me longer time to finish it because of my busy time.

Well, this book at first looks like a boring and typical crime novel but as we go it throughly we can sense the excitement. The story begins with the death of a little boy hanging on a tree in front his front yard in Mississippi. The killer is never found and the family has never recovered. Flash forward a dozen of years later, we meet the boy's sister, Harriet who was a baby at the time of his death, decides that she must right this wrong. She decides in her own mind who must be responsible and sets out to avenge her brother's death. Maybe the 'little friend' is the killer? Find it yourself ok?.

The book basically explores crime and punishment, as well as the hidden complications and consequences that hinder the pursuit of truth and justice.
